- Ardmore Road Asset Management has hired Ken Palumbo as COO. Palumbo previously worked at JAT Capital where he was president.
- Balyasny Asset Management hired Eric Ferreira, Citadel’s former head of databases, as a database engineering manager in Chicago.
- Balyasny Asset Management has expanded its European gas trading team with over 20 hires from Centrica, including Ezio Lauro and Thomas Bang. Lauro was previously the head of quantitative forwards trading
- Broad Reach Investment Management has hired Federico Scarduelli as head of discretionary macro trading in London. Scarduelli joins after from Moore Capital Management
- Citadel added long-time end-user computing specialist Cláudio Rodrigues to its New York office. Rodrigues joins from Goldman Sachs and will report to newly promoted tech head Stoyan Varlyakov.
- DRW has hired former Numerai CTO James Elford as a senior research engineer in London. Elford previously held senior engineering roles at Optiver and Aspect Capital.
- GSA Capital has hired a portfolio manager, Romain Castillon from Millennium’s Azur quant unit.
- Hudson River Trading has hired Brannon Batson, a 20-year DE Shaw veteran and lead engineer behind the Anton supercomputer.
- Jain Global hired Asyera Theng as MD in working capital investments. She joins from Sound Point Capital and previously held roles at MUFG, S&P, and Custom House FX.
- Magnetar added ex-Walleye portfolio manager Trevor Mottl to its systematic investing unit.

- Millennium Management has added Ylan Adler and Edward Pisano as senior commodities portfolio managers in Dubai. Adler joins from SPX to run metals; Pisano, from BlueCrest, will focus on power and gas.
- Peregrine Capital appointed Teaghan Price as an investment specialist to support advisers in KwaZulu-Natal. Price joins from Allan Gray, with previous roles at Stanlib and INN8.
- Verition has hired former BlueCrest portfolio manager Fouad Ramadan in Dubai. Ramadan previously led iron ore and nickel trading at Citi before joining BlueCrest in 2022.
