- Asymmetry Capital Management co-founder Chris Zellner has joined Situational Awareness, an AI-focused hedge fund. It is understood Zellner has been recruited as CCO of the San Francisco-based firm.
- Balyasny Asset Management has hired James Saltissi the founder of equities hedge fund Abbeville. He will be joining in Dubai as a portfolio manager. Saltissi is making the move following approximately three years at London-based macro hedge fund Soloda, where he was a senior portfolio manager.
- Brevan Howard has hired Joey Allcock, the former global strategy and investment banking operations head at Goldman Sachs. Allcock joined the as COO for information technology and will report into Brevan CTO Mike Sanders.
- Citadel has appointed John Fawcett from Robinhood as its new Head of Equities Engineering. Fawcett is previously founded Quantopian, the ambitious quant community platform that sought to crowdsource trading strategies from independent quants worldwide.
- FORA Capital has hired the Jeffrey Applebaum the co-founder of Kula Investments in Miami. Applebaum is understood to have started at FORA to lead the firm’s marketing and investor relations efforts.
- Ghisallo Capital Management have hired Alex Abagian, former co-head of Asia Pacific equity capital markets at Morgan Stanley. Abagian, join next month as a senior member of Ghisallo’s APAC team in Sydney.
- Jain Global has added Anthony Davis, a former Citadel Portfolio Manager specialising in convertible bond trading. Davis previously held roles at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank.
- Millennium have hired Mark Berg from Apollo as its new Asia-Pacific Chief Financial Officer in Singapore.
- Point72 has hired Kendall Jager from Millennium. Jager joins as Head of AI for Investment Services New York, where she is expected to focus on AI-driven automation within the firm’s investment services division.
